attendance list I will send the list to the group prior to the conference.
Conference Back Channel
We have set up a Meebo room to connect with one another throughout the conference. Share content, opinions, and files/links with people in other sessions. Meebo creates an archive of the conversations and documents that can be accessed long after the conference is over (can you say knowledge-base?). You don't need to sign up for a Meebo account to use, but it helps identify you.
SMS AlertsWe thought it would be a good idea to have a way to get information to NPSF conference goers quickly via SMS - you never know when an impromptu gathering might happen. SMS broadcasting is not as simple as one would hope (at least that isn't horribly cost-prohibited). We bootstrapped a creative workaround to simulate SMS broadcasting. Using the announcement only Google Group above, we can enter your telephone number with the email domain "@
teleflip.com" (i.e.
8023719558@teleflip.com) as an email address. When we send out alerts via the Google Group, you will get it as an SMS text message on your mobile phone.
You don't have to signup for
teleflip.com service, but
the easiest way to signup up is to send me your mobile number via
email - sonny.cloward at gmail.com.
