Salesforce.com Foundation is changing the game for how companies operate in the world by delivering and promoting a fully integrated model for philanthropy. We employ strong partnerships to empower the "on-demand" nonprofit focused on their success and efficiency; inspire and support employee volunteers to take meaningful action to improve the world; and help youth find and reach their full potential.
In order for our programs and models to be successful, we rely on the expertise, passion and knowledge of salesforce.com employees. To engage employees to help us and the community "experience success", we have created four Foundation Councils.
The purpose of the Foundation Councils is to serve as independent advisory group of salesforce.com employees to the Foundation for each of our 1%s - Product, Time, Equity, Earth. Every salesforce.com employee is given six paid days annually to volunteer and the Foundation Councils are an opportunity for us to engage and give back to the community. Council members will also serve as champions for Foundation programs and events within the larger salesforce.com community and encourage other employees to use their paid volunteer benefit.
We are looking for energetic and committed employees to participate on the following councils.
Time (Volunteer) - The Salesforce.com Foundation Time Council will work with the Salesforce.com Foundation to develop, promote, and lead fun, rewarding, and meaningful volunteer opportunities to company teams, customers, and partners - to give back to our community and to enrich the work experience of all team members. This council also reviews the Community Action Team grants. The Time Council meets the second Tuesday of every month.
Product (Grants) - The Salesforce.com Foundation Product Council will work with the Salesforce.com Foundation to create a better world by amplifying the work of the world's most effective and visionary nonprofit organizations through our competitive grant round.
Equity (Grants) - The Salesforce.com Foundation Equity Council will work with the Salesforce.com Foundation by awarding Technology for Youth Development grants to youth serving organizations working to integrate technology in a way that furthers their social mission.
Earth (Sustainability) - The Salesforce.com Foundation Earthforce Council will work with the Salesforce.com Foundation to measure and reduce energy usage, develop an environmental friendly workplace, enhance employee satisfaction and to motivate employees and customers to adopt environmental sustainability practices.
