July 9, 2007 - San Francisco, CA, USA- As part of the Marketing Volunteer Week, Amy Hersman, Stephanie Overgaag, Erin O'Keefe, Linda Lin, Danielle Slanina and I headed over to Glide Memorial Church to serve dinner. We started by donning some aprons and hairnets, then we took our places in the food "line up". I was in charge of putting salad on the trays. It was a pretty tough job to get the amount of salad just right and the trays backed up around my station several times. Linda was next to me and in charge of fruit. I think her job was easier than mine, because she had several chances to show off her dance moves. She and Amy Hersman were really getting down when Lionel Richie's "Dancing on the Ceiling" came over the loud speaker. Come to think of it, the whole line was dancing to that one. Thank you Lionel Richie. We had a great time at Glide and we served several hundred hot meals to the folks down there. Thanks to the great people who work at Glide for having us, looking forward to next time.
