Who qualifies for the Power of Us program?

How do I apply for a product donation?
Does the Power of Us program include access to support?
Salesforce.com's standard success plan is included with your Power of Us license donation. You can purchase a Premier Success Plan from the Foundation for a fee. Contact us for pricing.
What if I never received confirmation of my donation?
You will receive an email confirmation from us when you donation application has been approved. Please add salesforce.com to your email whitelist to ensure that you receive our emails. If you have not received an email 14 days after your application, please email crmdonation@salesforce.com and we can confirm your donation.
How much do the licenses cost?
For organizations that qualify, 10 Foundation Edition (Enterprise Edition+) licenses are provided at no cost to your organization. If extra licenses are required, they can be purchased at a deep discount.
What are the hidden costs?
The donation program in no way obligates you to purchase licenses or any other services from salesforce.com or the Salesforce.com Foundation. It is important for your organization to understand that while the Power of Us licenses are offered at no cost to your organization, implementation of Salesforce is your organization's responsibility. Organizations that are successful using our platform typically invest some combination of time, skill and money in making the best use of our product.
What is included in the Salesforce.com Foundation Power of Us license donation?
The Foundation Enterprise Edition License includes all of the features in the Enterprise Edition, plus:
- Unlimited tabs and apps (as opposed to the 25 tab and app limit in the standard Enterprise Edition)
- 2,000 custom objects (as opposed to 200 custom objects in the standard Enterprise Edition)
- 1 config only sandbox and 5 additional Developer sandboxes
What is the Foundation Enterprise Edition License?
The Foundation Enterprise Edition License includes all of the features in the Enterprise Edition, plus:
- Unlimited tabs and apps (as opposed to the 25 tab and app limit in the standard Enterprise Edition)
- 2,000 custom objects (as opposed to 200 custom objects in the standard Enterprise Edition)
- 1 config only sandbox and 5 additional Developer sandboxes

How long can we keep the licenses?
The Power of Us licenses are donated on a 12 month term. For as long as your organization continues to be an eligible registered charitable organization, AND you are actively using the product, we will automatically renew your donation each year. If your organization discontinues its use of your salesforce.com account for any reason, you will be contacted by Salesforce.com Foundation and notified that your donation will be discontinued.
Our organization is affiliated with other registered charitable organizations. Is there any way we can get more than 10 licenses donated to one common Salesforce.com account?
Organizations that meet our eligibility requirements and apply to receive the product donation are eligible for ten licenses to be donated to one account. We cannot combine product donations from multiple organizations onto one common account. If you are interested in having more than ten licenses on one account, contact us about our deep discounts on additional licenses.
My organization is fiscally sponsored. Can we apply for the product donation?
Yes, we welcome organizations that have a fiscal sponsor. Both the fiscally sponsored organization and the fiscal sponsor are eligible for separate product donations. See our eligibility requirements for more information.
Can we apply for the Power of Us program while we wait for our 501c3 status to be approved?
The Salesforce Foundation does not grant interim license donations, long term trial extensions, or discounts to organizations pending their Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 501 (c)(3)determination letter. To qualify for the user license donation program, all nonprofit organizations must be federally certified as a 501 (c)(3) organization during the application stage.
Can salesforce.com do "such" and "such"?
Yes. Salesforce is a highly customizable platform that can do a lot. Some things are easier to do on our platform than others. It isn't a question of "can" it do something, but more a question of "how much" time, skill or money will I need to accomplish the goal.

Is it possible to do a weekly or nightly backup to our own file server?
Yes, you can export your data at any time including setting up a weekly backup that can be saved in a location that you determine.
Is there a configuration specific to nonprofits?
Yes, the Nonprofit Starter Pack is a set of packages built on top of standard salesforce.com Enterprise Edition licenses. The Nonprofit Starter Pack was created to make it possible for nonprofits to more easily manage individual donors right out-of-the-box. Learn more about the Nonprofit Starter Pack.
I just started my trial. How do I login?
When you sign up for a trial, an email will be sent to you with a login link and instructions. Please use a legitimate email address and check your spam and trash folders for an email from salesforce.com. If you are still having trouble, please email crmdonation@salesforce.com.
What do we do if we need help learning how to use Salesforce.com?
Please review the options in the Help section of our website. In addition, you may wish to work with one of our partners for more specific and customized training for your organization.
What is my ORG ID?
Your ORG ID is a unique ID number that identifies your unique instance of salesforce. To locate your Organization ID, please login to your trial, go to the User Menu (next to the Help and Training link at the top of your home page) and click Setup. Then scroll down the left side to Administration Setup > Company Profile > Company Information. You will find the Organization ID on the right side. It is a 15-digit number that looks like this: 00WB0000000axpJ.
I already have activated licenses and am interested in adding the Nonprofit Starter pack. Is this possible?
