12月の１日から25日までセールスフォース・ドットコム東京・大阪オフィスでは、Global　Holiday Spirit 07と題した、年末恒例のボランティアウィークを実施しました。社員の合計ボランティア時間は、553時間+。クリスマスシーズンということもあり、クリスマスに関する活動も多く、積極的に社内外で様々な活動に参加した社員からは、楽しみや充実感だけでなく、今後の活動にもつながる多くのフィードバックを得られることができました。
Salesforce.com Japan office (Tokyo/Osaka) has just finished the annual Global Holiday Spirit (GHS). In this year’s GHS07 employees contributed to a total of 553 (and counting) hours of volunteering, to the social and the global community. Having held in the Christmas Season this year’s activities included many Christmas events. The employees not only enjoyed the activities but also gave the foundation useful feedbacks and ideas for our next year’s Global Holiday Spirit.

Xmas【ギビングツリー　プレゼント選び・プレゼント配達 / Giving Tree】 　　　　
　　　　
12月25日クリスマス、サンタになったFS忽那敏章と、FS山崎徳寛の2人があゆみ学園へ社員から預かったプレゼントを届けに行きました。子供たちは、サンタさんに駆け寄って、握手を求めて、大興奮の様子。滑り台から勢いよく降りてきたサンタさんから貰ったプレゼントを早速開けて大喜びでした。ほとんどの生徒が暮らす中心の施設を含め、計4ヶ所のグループホームを回り届けたプレゼントは、あゆみ学園の生徒67人ひとりひとりから届いた手紙を、67人の社員が受け取り、手紙に書かれたプレゼントを選び準備したもの。この日サンタとして訪れた2人だけでなく、プレゼントを子供たちの喜ぶ顔を思い浮かべながら選び、クリスマスカードを添え贈った全員の気持ちが伝わっていたことと思います。帰り際、子供たちは「また来てね」と既に来年のクリスマスが待ち遠しい様子で、忽那も、「帰る時も全員しっかりとお礼を言い集団生活においても驚くほど規律正しい環境で生活をしていることを実感させられました。また来てね！と言われると大変嬉しいものです。」とのことでした。
On this year’s Christmas day, two employees on behalf of Tokyo office members, dressed up as Santa Clause to give presents to the children at Ayumi Gakuen. 67 employees bought their own gifts for all 67children of Ayumi Gakuen from the Christmas wish list sent from each student. As the Santas came sliding down the emergency slide in the building, the children came running to the two Santas desperate to shake hands and talk with them. However it was not only the Santas that visited 4 homes all together but also all employees that made the children smile. The children asked the Santas to “come back next year” as they left, already missing them. It would be great if you could time to time think of the presents you gave, and the children using them and look forward to the next years giving tree.

picture book【絵本ボランティア/ Picture Book Volunteers】　　　　　
　　　　
シャンティ国際ボランティア会という非営利団体は、子どもの図書がほとんど出版されていない途上国へ絵本を送る運動を行っています。日本で出版されている絵本に訳文を印刷したシールを貼って、カンボジア、ラオス、ミャンマー難民キャンプ、アフガニスタンに送るというものです。この活動に賛同し、セールスフォース・ドットコムの東京と大阪のオフィスでは毎年絵本のシール貼り活動に協力しています。社内では毎日17：00～18：00に活動し、その他にも自宅に持ち帰って活動を行う社員もおり、合計で250冊の絵本を東京と大阪オフィスで完成させました。社員は忙しくてもボランティアに関わることができるということで、自分にできることとして、一冊一冊本を完成させていました。
One of the most popular activity was the dispatching of 'Picture Books' coordinated by Shanti Volunteer Association. They send books to developing countries (Cambodia, Laos, Afghanistan, and Myanmar Refugee Camp,) where picture books are hardly published. Employees are responsible for attaching the translations to the correct pages of the book. Throughout the period employees completed 250 books and understood that there is something that they can do to help others even at their busiest business season.

自宅やオフィスに眠っている本、CD、DVDをブックオフコーポレーション株式会社に送ると、その買取額がJENのアフガニスタンとパキスタンでの教育支援事業「スクールサポートプログラム」に役立てられるという活動に参加しました。社員からは合計で、131冊の本と、3枚のCDが寄付されました。
Employees participated in a recycling program jointly organized by a humanitarian nonprofit JEN and used bookshop Bookoff Corp.. By sending 131books and 3 CDs to Bookoff, the total sales are to be donated to an educational program in Afghanistan and Pakistan by JEN.

【クリスマスツリーデコレーションWS / Christmas tree decoration workshop】　　

12月2日（日）、セールスフォース東京オフィス社内にて、NGO　CANVAS 主催の子ども向けクリスマスツリーデコレーションのワークショップを開催しました。社内から参加した、アライアンス事業本部田崎純一郎とカスタマーサクセスマネジメント部の仲澤輝宏も、 家族と共にデコレーションを楽しんでいました。50人の子どもたちが手作りオーナメントを作成し、それぞれ別のテーマでデコレーションされたクリスマスツリー3本のうちの１本をセールスフォース用としていただきました。子供たちのメッセージで彩られたツリーがオフィスの玄関に飾られています。子供たちは、 デコレーションの講師として参加された、アレン・マイナーさんの「クリスマスは、もらうばかりじゃなくて、誰かに何かをあげる日」という言葉をしっかりと 覚えて帰っていった様子でした。
On 2nd December NGO CANVAS organized a charity Christmas workshop for children. It was held at Salesforce.com Tokyo office inviting more than 50 children altogether. Each tree had its own theme and the children decorated each tree with their hand-made ornaments. Out of the three trees decorated Salesforce.com was donated the “message tree” a tree decorated with children’s own Christmas cards. The children who participated in the event returned to their homes learning that “Christmas is a time not only for being given, but also a time for giving”.

omotesando【表参道クリーニング/ Omotesando Cleaning】　　　

期間中毎週月曜日、きれいな街は、人の心もきれいにする」をコンセプトに誕生したgreen bird 主催の街中クリーニングプロジェクトの表参道チームに参加しました。普段何気なく歩いている道も、少し目を凝らせば、様々なところにゴミが落ちている。参加後、こうした活動は今会社がある恵比寿でも行って行きたいという意見もがあり、今後もぜひ地域を支援できる活動として継続していきたいと思います。また、マーケティングの社員がチームとして参加した12月3日の活動では、green bird のホームページにて、日記にその活動とセールスフォースの活動を掲載していただきました。
Every Monday during the period employees participated in a Green Bird's -an NGO acting to clean the streets of Japan- cleaning activity. The employees picked up trashes on streets which even they could have walked passed without noticing in their daily lives. Many employees commented that they would like to continue these activities in the same area as the office. Our marketing team and Salesforce.com was introduced on the Green Birds homepage after their participation on December 3rd.

yoyogi park【代々木公園の緑化活動Yoyogi park gardening】 　

代々木公園『花の小径』を活動エリアとしている代々木ガーデニングクラブの活動にて、種まき、花壇のリニューアル、プレートの再設置など、普段訪れる公園の景観維持に必要な緑化活動を行いました。アライアンス事業本部の密田容子は「結構重労働だったが、作業は達成感があった」、とのこと。また地元のコミュニティに接することができ、新しく出会う人々との会話を楽しめるなどとの意見がありました。
Together with Yoyogi gardening club, every day with a 4 on the end (4th and 14th) employees participated to maintain its views and the environment helping out with planting, fixing, making gardens. The work itself can be hard sometimes, but therefore it is rewarding. Also this activity was an occasion to speak with many local citizens.

Kids Earth Fund

【子供地球基金 / Kids Earth Fund】　　　　　　

子供地球基金では、世界中の紛争地や災害地等で、行ったアートワークショップにて子どもたちが描いた絵を分類し、整理を行います。また、クリスマスにはワークショップで訪れた、またクリスマス会などを予定されている病院や施設などの子どもたちへ、クリスマスプレゼントを届けています。
Kids Earth Fund organizes pictures drawn by children around the world, some from countries under war and conflict, at their work shops. Also in this season the NGO visits children at hospitals where that have participated in their workshops, and to those hospitals where there are planning a Christmas party and hands gifts to the children. The employees participated in both organizing the pictures and wrapping the Christmas presents to be handed for children in hospitals.

Ginger Bread House【ジンジャーブレッドハウス制作 / Ginger Bread House work shop】　

Canvas　主催のクリスマスイベントの2つ目として、ジンジャーブレッドハウス制作のWSに社員がボランティアとして参加しました。当日は、オフィスという環境に実物のオーブンを持ち込み、その場でクッキーを焼き子供たちはお菓子で家を作りました。ボランティアとしてコンサルの小松正治、CSの名合博司、人事部の清田美幸、FSの荒谷英智は、子供たちの手伝いをしながら、普段なかなか経験することのできない、イベントに本人達もとても楽しんでいました。小松は「子供たちが個性豊かな、家を作っていてとても楽しそうだった」とコメントしていました。
For the second Canvas organized work shop, employees help organize a ginger bread house work shop. Surprisingly though the event was held inside an office an oven was brought to bake ginger bread and cookies. The employees helped children make sweet houses, but surely they themselves were enjoying their first ever experience to make a ginger bread house.

Snow Dome【スノードーム制作WS / Snow dome Workshop】　

Canvas 主催のクリスマスワークショップの締めくくりとして、スノードーム制作のWSに社員がボランティアとして参加しました。子供たちは、スノードームの中に入れる、シートをそれぞれ作成し、自分オリジナルのスノードームを作りました。シートを作るのには、細かい作業も必要とされたので、アライアンス事業本部田崎純一郎と、マーケティング部渡辺順子は子供たちの工作の手伝いをしながらも、初めて経験するスノードームの制作をとても楽しんでいました。
For the final Canvas organized Christmas workshop Employee participated in helping children make, their own snow domes. The children drew and collaged making a sheet of paper that will go in between the snow dome to create its background. The employees supported children when the work shop required some intricate processes for children

【スペシャルオリンピックス　ボーリング / Special Olympics Bowling】　　　

SO（スペシャルオリンピックス）の各地区では、 アスリートを中心にその家族とボランティアとが一体となって、 親睦を深めるとともに、SOについて広く認知・理解促進を図ることを目的に様々なスポーツイベントを実施しています。その一環の事業として、ボランティワウィークの期間中は、ボーリング競技に社員が参加し参加者のアスリートや、参加者の支援を行いました。参加したアライアンス事業本部田崎純一郎は、アスリートが叩き出す高得点に、驚いていた様子でした。
Special Olympics organize various sporting events to connect athletes and their families with the local citizens to advocate the activities of Special Olympics. One of the activities that Special Olympics does is to organize sports competitions for athletes and locals. 人身売買対策の強化のためにアドボカシーや啓発を行っているポラリスを支援するため、社内で、電子機器や、タオル・シーツのリサイクルを実施しました。社員からは、電話やタオル等が寄せられました。
To support Polaris Project, a multicultural grassroots organization combating human trafficking and modern-day slavery the employees donated used electronics, and new towels from the office.
