June 3rd, 2008 London UK A group of 15 UK Salesforce employees, in conjunction with Kids Company takes a group of 21 primary school kids from one of London's most challenged schools to the zoo for the day.

Kids Company is a London based charity that work with vulnerable inner-city children and young adults and provides them with practical, emotional and educational support.

The majority of the children who access their interventions present with severe emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, resulting from significant experiences of trauma and neglect. Many of them are ‘lone children' living in chronic deprivation, with limited or no support from the adults in their family.

The group of 21 7-8 year olds were met at the gate by the group of Salesforce employees - Thank you Wayne Foncette, Jane Lawrence, Julia Woodman, Leon weavers, Robin Daniels, Wayne scott, Kenny Elphick, Alan Brookes, Tim Ames, Duncan Spanner, Richard Boon, Ansar Ahmed, Leon Markham, Ben Dhanjal & Philip Kenley.

Every volunteer was given one or two kids to chaperone and provide what for many of them, would be a unique opportunity to have some 1 to 1 attention with an adult. Many of these kids will come from vulnerable backgrounds and would certainly never had an experience like being taken to the zoo before.
