EMEA Support & Renewals volunteering event - a letter of appreciation from St. Aengus community centre

Dublin, Ireland 08 May 2008

EMEA Support & Renewals volunteering event focused on the refurbishing of the St. Angus Senior Citizens Community Centre. Volunteers split in groups worked in the garden area as well as repainting the main common living-space in the centre and the outside yard.

It meant a huge improvement for the residents.

This is the letter the Foundation received after the event:

‘'On behalf of the board of St. Aengus and on behalf of the Senior Citizens Club, may I extend our most grateful thanks for the magnificent work carried out in the Centre by the wonderful team.

My fellow Director, Harry Edwards, is still signing your praises and has told me that he never before encountered a group of volunteers that so willingly carried out whatever task that was assigned to them and with such enthusiasm. It was a pleasure to return to the centre to see the transformation that had taken place. So much so, we now are replacing the kitchen and furnishing in the seniors room to compliment the excellent redecorating.

Once again, the word are insufficient when it comes to thanking you, your fellow workers and your management team for the terrific morale boost you have given us. You are all just wonderful people and I will take every opportunity to let other people know how good you are.''EMEA Support & Renewals volunteering event - a letter of appreciation from St. Aengus community centre3
