Veronique Piguet (Collections Analyst) tells us about her experience of helping preparing meals for HIV patients, in Arc-en-Ciel, Swiss nonprofit local to the office:
‘It's been a great experience! Helping in the kitchen was really cool. The lady I was working with has been doing this for 5 years and she really enjoys helping the patients out and spending some time in the centre.
Arc-en-Ciel is a unique organization of this kind in Switzerland and the atmosphere is very tranquil and comfortable. They support both people affected by this terrible illness and their families.
Thao Ngyen (Arc en Ciel Director) introduced me to everybody before lunch and as I had time, I decided to stay on and have lunch with all of them. I had the opportunity to meet some of the staff and residents of the centre and to have a good chat with them. This meant we familiarized a bit more with each other and it felt good.
This was a great experience for me and I will continue going there to help once a month.'
