6月28日土曜日、上智大学にて学生団体LabIT主催「時代を読むための最先端IT塾～Saas,Paas編～」が開催され、ITに関心が高い学生や若手社会人およそ50名が参加しました。この分野を世界的にリードするセールスフォース・ドットコムを代表してSEシニアダイレクターの内田仁史が講師としてプレゼンテーションを行いました。Saas/Paasとは何かという導入から、IT業界で起きているパラダイムシフト、Saas・Paasを含めたITの将来についてなど話しました。続いて、時事通信社の湯川鶴章さんが、ネットベンチャーが活躍できる時代が来たとお話になりました。
講演終了後のアンケートによると、参加者の満足度は大変高く「刺激的で勉強になった」「キャリアステップを考える上で参考になる」「SaasやPaasの将来性を感じた」など沢山のご意見を頂きました。講師として参加した内田仁史も「対象が学生・若手社会人ということで、いつもとは異なるため理解していただけたか不安だったか、沢山の良いコメントを頂きみなさんのお役に立てたようで嬉しい」と話していました。
セールスフォースは今後もこのような若い世代への情報提供も行っていきます！

LabIT　:　若者のIT・Webリテラシー向上を目的にセミナーや勉強会を開催する学生団体。2008年初めよりファンデーションの1%モデル(1%product)により10ライセンスを無償提供中で、今回のイベントの情報管理もSalesforceで行っている。


On Sat, June 28, LabIT which is a student organization that enhances IT literacy for students and young business people held their 2nd seminar ‘The most advanced IT – SaaS and PaaS’ at Sophia University. About 50 young people who are interested in IT got together to keep up with the state-of-the-art issue. On behalf of Salesforce.com Japan, Hitoshi Uchida, Senior Director, VLO Sales Engineering give them 1-hour talk on what SaaS/Paas are , paradigm shift and the future in the IT industry. Following Hitoshi’s speech, Mr Tsuruaki Yukawa, Jiji Tsushin sent messages to the youngsters saying that it’s a good time for venture companies specialized in business on the web.

Participants said on the survey after the event that the content was so stimulating, useful for their future careers. Some also said that SaaS/PaaS had great potential in the future.
Hitoshi said, ‘The participants were all young so I was not sure if my explanation was simple and easy enough for them, but I am so glad to have lots of positive feedbacks from them.’
