2008年12月、セールスフォース・ドットコムの東京・大阪オフィスにて、毎年恒例の冬のボランティアウィークをを開催しました。社内外で社員が特技・趣味・個性を生かして36の活動を行い、合計ボランティア時間は830時間に達しました。Salesforce.com Japan office (Tokyo/Osaka) has just finished the Winter Volunteering Weeks in December, 2008. Almost all the employees participated in 36 volunteer events donating over 830 hours to the local community.


【児童擁護施設の子どもたちへクリスマスプレゼント Giving Tree】 　　　

今年は2つの児童養護施設の子どもたちにクリスマスプレゼントを届けました。施設の子どもたち一人ひとりからのリクエストを叶えるため、130名の社員が週末などを利用してプレゼントを購入し、きれいにラッピングし、心あたたまるカードを添えました。代表してサンタに扮した社員が、それぞれの施設にプレゼントを届けにいきました。　　

小百合の寮

東京都杉並区の児童養護施設小百合の寮の61名の子どもたちのサンタ3名が登場すると、寮内の公園で遊んでいた子どもたちは大はしゃぎをしてサンタに駆け寄りました。外で思い切り遊んだあと、サンタから1人ずつにプレゼントが配られ、みんなで拍手をしてお祝いしました。ある女の子は、サンタさんが自分の名前を知っていて、自分にお手紙を書いてくれたことに感激していました。また、自分の体より大きなプレゼントをもらった幼児さんは、とても誇らしげにしていました。

あゆみ学園

埼玉県羽生市の児童養護施設あゆみ学園を訪問し、69名の子どもたちにクリスマスプレゼントを届けました。6名の社員がサンタとトナカイに扮し、滑り台から勢いよく降りて登場！子どもたちは目をキラキラ輝かせ、矢つぎばやにサンタへの質問が寄せました。一人ずつにプレゼントを手渡すや否や、子どもたちは開封してお互いに見せ合い、大変な喜びようでした。このほか、あゆみ学園に対して社員の有志より衣類や遊具の寄贈がありました。代表取締役社長の宇陀は大きなクマのぬいぐるみを、大阪オフィス一同からはサンタウェア2着、管理本部の関亦は乳児用冬物衣料、CSMの山下（智）はNintendo DSソフトをそれぞれ寄付しました。トナカイに扮したCSMの北川は、「自分が準備したプレゼントが開けられる瞬間を見られて嬉しかったとともに、この子どもたちが施設で生活することの背景を知り、考えさせられました。」と話しています。

This year, 9 employees delivered 130 Christmas presents to kids at two welfare facilities for children, Sayuri no Ryo and Ayumi Gakuen. Eiji Uda, President & CEO and some employees donated dolls, toys and winter clothes to these organizations as well.

【絵本ボランティア Picture Book Volunteers】　　　　　

シャンティ国際ボランティア会は、子どもの図書がほとんど出版されていない途上国へ絵本を届ける運動を行っています。日本で出版されている絵本に訳文を印刷したシールを貼って、カンボジア、ラオス、ミャンマー難民キャンプ、アフガニスタンなどに送るというものです。毎日17：00～18：00に活動の時間を設け、東京・大阪両オフィスで計240冊の絵本を完成させました。
One of the most popular activities is the dispatching of 'Picture Books' coordinated by Shanti Volunteer Association. These books are to be sent to developing countries (Cambodia, Laos, Afghanistan, and Myanmar Refugee Camp,) where books are hardly published. Employees are responsible for attaching the translations to the correct pages of the book. Throughout the period 240 books were completed.

【西麻布作業所大掃除 Cleaning at Nishiazabu Vocational Training Center】

東京オフィスから徒歩5分のところにある西麻布作業所は、知的障害を持つ方が自立に必要な訓練を行うとともに、授産活動を通して社会的に自立出来るように支援することを目的とした授産施設です。この西麻布作業所の冬の大掃除に3名が参加し、換気扇掃除、床磨きやワックスがけ、窓や壁のクリーニングナドヲ、作業所職員と通所者のみなさんと協力しながら行いました。また、通所者のみなさんの定例業務である近隣の公園清掃にも加わりました。
Nishiazabu Sagyousho, a vocational training center for people with disabilities is a 5-min walk from our Tokyo office. This center helps people with disabilities live independent lifves by providing vocational programs. 3 employees did a great job by washing ventilating fans, wiping windows and floors together with the people with disabilities and the staff. Also, some employees joined in their regular work and cleaned neighbour public parks with the people with disabilities.

【みなとワークアクティ支援 Running IT course at Minato Work Acty Vocational Tranining Center】

知的障害者を対象とした通所授産施設みなとワークアクティでは、Educationチームをはじめとする社員が通所者のみなさんにPC教室を開きました。また、みなとワークアクティのクリスマス会にはサンタウェアに身をまとった社員3名が登場！英語でクリスマスメッセージを述べたあと、一人ひとりにクリスマスプレゼントを渡し、エンターテイナーとして活躍しました。
Minato Work Acty is also a vocational training centre for people with disabilities. Our Education team ran an IT training course and taught them how to use keyboards and type words to make simple message to their friends and families. Also 3 employees dressed as Santa and joined in their Christmas party to be entertainers.! After delivering gifts to all of them, they enjoyed talking, singing and dancing!


【古本の回収 Used Books donation】　

社員が持ち寄った本・CD・DVD（段ボール1箱相当分）をブックオフコーポレーション株式会社に送りました。この買取額は国際NGO Room to Read に寄付され、教育支援事業に役立てられます。
Employees participated in a recycling campaign jointly organized by an international humanitarian NPO Room to Read and used bookshop Bookoff Corp. One cardboard box of used books, CDs and DVDs was sent to Bookoff, and the total sales were donated to Room to Read for their educational programs in underprivileged countries.

【表参道クリーニング Omotesando Cleaning】　　

「きれいな街は、人の心もきれいにする」をコンセプトに活動を行うgreen birdの清掃活動に参加しました。普段何気なく歩いている美しい表参道にも、少し目を凝らすと、様々なところにゴミが落ちていました。
Employees participated in cleaning activities organized by Green Bird to pick up trash on streets which even they could have walked passed without noticing in their daily lives.

【代々木公園の緑化活動 Yoyogi Park Gardening】 　

代々木公園『花の小径』を活動エリアとしている代々木ガーデニングクラブの活動い参加し、種まき、花壇のリニューアルなどの緑化活動を行いました。
Together with Yoyogi gardening club, employees maintained its views and the environment helping out with planting, fixing and making gardens. The work itself can be hard sometimes but therefore it is rewarding.

【サン・サン赤坂生活支援ボランティア Livelihood Support for the Elderly at Sunsun Akasaka】

特別擁護老人ホームサン・サン赤坂にて生活をしている高齢者の洗濯物をたたんで仕分ける作業を行いました。
Employees volunteered with Sunsun Akasaka, a nursing home for the elderly people, folding and sorting laundry for the people staying at the facility.

【二葉乳児院 力仕事ボランティア Heavy Lifting Volunteering at Futaba Baby home】

諸事情から家庭で暮らすことができない０歳から就学前までの子どもたちを24時間預かっている二葉乳児院にて、FSGチームとFSFチームがそれぞれ清掃活動などの力仕事を行いました。
In the freezing weather in December, FSG Team and FSF Team did heavy lifting to clean every part of the Futaba Baby home!
