Salesforce.com contributes to CSR through1/1/1 model
Salesforce.com is the leader in pioneering, evangelizing and implementing the unique 1/1/1 model. Salesforce.com Foundation was created to apply the core strengths of salesforce.com to help organizations further their social mission and improve the lives of people around the world. In 2008, APAC employees of salesforce.com and its partners spent more than 6,000 hours doing volunteer work for non-profit organizations, not only demonstrating company and employee commitment towards the community, but also enhancing employee morale.
Besides contributing hours for community, the Foundation also offers free or discounted products and donates money to qualifying non-profits organizations. The article also cited an example in Singapore, Food from the Heart benefits from the Foundation by using free applications to manage data efficiently, enabling it to save 30% of time on administrative work. This year, APAC will be giving out 14%, Europe, 27% and US, 59% of the total global grants.
