Each week several employees spend four hours at a local Multiple Sclerosis Group.

Every Friday Staines UK - Each week, from a pool of ten salesforce.com employees, two volunteers spend four hours at a local MS Group. There they help in the kitchen, participate in the group's activities, talk to those suffering from this debilitating disease and generally make themselves useful. The ten are Danielle Tyler, Doug Merrett, Kenny Elphick, Julia Briggs, Amy Harbin, Alan Barr, Karnail Jita, Amanda Fennell, Libby Darlington & Chris Kay

Steve Mills - who runs the MS group had this to say -ActivitiesActivities

I would just like to thank you for all the help your company 'volunteers' have given us, the size of our group has now risen to an average of 25 to 30 people attending each week with approx 35 in attendance this week ... this is fantastic for us and we would not be able to continue in this way if it were not for the help we receive from yourselves so please keep up the good work ... we really do appreciate it ... life has become so much easier for us with the very willing volunteers you have provided.

Whilst Danielle - who was instrumental in starting this weekly event made this comment -

being able to spend a few hours every few weeks with these inspiring people has not only increased my understanding of this disease but has also been a wonderfully rewarding and exciting experience
