北海道のNPO法人札幌チャレンジドは、自立をめざすチャレンジド（障がいをもつ方々）のITスキル向上や社会参加を支援する非営利団体です。セールスフォース・ドットコムの社員は2008年3月より札幌チャレンジドにSalesforceの技能・スキルを伝えて育成してきました。2008年秋からはセールスフォース・ドットコムより業務を委託し、サービス部門のビジネスパートナーとして活躍してくださっています。
札幌チャレンジドが「ソーシャルビジネス５５選」に選ばれて代表・杉山逸子様と事務局・佐藤美貴様が贈呈式のために来京したのを機に、セールスフォース・ドットコムの東京オフィスにお越しになりました。代表取締役社長・宇陀栄次、常務執行役員 サービス本部長・保科実をはじめ、普段より札幌チャレンジドとお付き合いしている社員があたたかく迎えました。
杉山代表と佐藤様からは、セールスフォース・ドットコムから委託される業務はどれも高度なスキルを必要とするものであり、チャレンジドはとてもやりがいを感じており、このことが他のチャレンジドの励みにもなっているといううれしいフィードバックをいただきました。宇陀から札幌チャレンジドに対して、この成功体験に自信を持って広げていって欲しいとメッセージをお送りしました。
日ごろより札幌チャレンジドとのコンタクトをとっている社員にとっては、直接会って今後のさらなる協働について話をする貴重な貴会になりました。札幌チャレンジドのみなさん、これからも一層のパートナーシップ構築をしていきましょう！
Sapporo Challenged is a nonprofit based in Sapporo, Hokkaido that supports people with physical disabilities in impoving their IT skills and in more active social participation. Salesforce.com Japan employees have been delivering on-site/remote salesforce training and teached skills to them since last March. Now Sapporo Challenged is a corporate business partner for Salersforce.com' Japan. The Support and Education teams have been offering business opportunities to them.
Ms Itsuko Sugiyama, President of Sapporo Challenged and Ms Miki Sato, who were invited for an awarding ceremony of the ''Top 55 Excellent Social Business'' in Tokyo, visited our Tokyo office. Mr Eiji Uda (President and CEO), Minoru Hosina(VP, Services) and other employees who are deeply involved in the collaboration welcomed them and had a great conversation.
Ms Sugiyama and Ms Sato said ''the businesses commissioned by salesforce.com are all required highly skills so the ''challenged'' people feel that this is something worthwhile and challenging. This also affect other ''challenged'' people in a great way.
Eiji Uda send them some words of encouragement, ''Be confident in what we are doing and what we are going to do. Let's keep going and spread our successful experience to more ''challenged'' people and more companies.''
This was a great opportunity for both of us to discuss our further collaboration. We are going to establish stronger and wider collaboration!
