Before delving into how great a course it was, let me provide some background. Prior to joining the Salesforce.com Foundation, I worked on the corporate side of Salesforce.com for over 4 years, with the last 2 being on the Training and Education Team. Although the existing Salesforce.com Admin Workshops are great, the classes are geared toward exercises for traditional CRM usage, specifically with a great deal of focus on organizational structures that are sales driven. In my former role, I assisted for-profit and nonprofit customers with workshop enrollment. Even though they gained a significant amount of knowledge, I often heard the desire from the latter of having a course that dealt more with the realities and obstacles nonprofits face. As I transitioned over to the Foundation, this need only became more apparent.
In came Etherios to fill this void, creating the CRM-100: CRM Administration for Nonprofits, designed and focused around utilizing the Salesforce.com Nonprofit Starter Pack to address realistic scenarios that nonprofits tackle. All Etherios instructors are salesforce.com certified, in fact the class I attended was taught by a former ADM-201 – Administration Essentials instructor. Needless to say, he was very knowledgeable and extremely competent regarding the Salesforce.com application, the Nonprofit Starter Pack, and the needs of the nonprofit community.
The class is delivered virtually over the course of three 5-hour days and costs, a very affordable, $750 per student. Etherios does a great job of sprinkling numerous breaks throughout the day, to keep the student refreshed and attentive and the fact that the class is virtual eliminates travel expenses and time out of the office. The class provides instruction on a full scope of effectively implementing and utilizing salesforce.com, from setup and customization to donation and outreach management (Nonprofit Admin Datasheet).
I highly recommend this course for any nonprofit looking to increase the success of their salesforce.com implementation or for any nonprofit wanting to maximize their utilization of any existing salesforce.com deployment.
