UK employees continue Head to Heading

Adam Savage
Attending secondary schools to give one on one interview practice

Amanda Carter, Stuart Templeton and Adam Savage took time out of their schedules last month to visit inner London secondary schools and provide some much needed interview practice to teenage students. The value of having professional adults - who are not teachers - fulfilling this role can not be overstated.

The sessions are run by Tower Hamlets Education & Business Partnership (THEBP) who provide these, and other "education to work' support courses all year round. The following note of appreciation illustrates the impact of this volunteer experience.

This just a brief note to thank you so much for giving up your time this week to help with the Head to Head interviews at Bethnal Green Technology College.

The time you spent with our young people was both greatly appreciated and extremely worthwhile. Having spoken to a number of the students today, they all commented on how much they felt put at ease by the interviews and by the positive support and advice they received. I feel certain that the experience they gained this week will be enormously beneficial to them; particularly as many of the students are currently attending interviews for sixth form and further education college places.

On behalf of our students, thank you once again for the excellent interview experience you provided and hope that you enjoyed your time at Bethnal Green Technology College.
