Junior Achievement is an organisation that we partner with all over the world, and a salesforce.com user predominantly in the States. They are one of Ireland’s leading children’s charities, part of a worldwide organisation reaching out to 9.3 million young people each year. It was established in Ireland in 1995 and since then has built up a strong demand from schools throughout the country and created successful partnerships with over 150 leading organisations. Junior Achievement is helping to create a culture of enterprise within the education system. We also help young people prepare for the world of work, giving them skills in communications and preparing for interviews. Financial literacy programmes teach students how to manage, protect and make the most out of their future salaries. As we move towards a knowledge-based economy, Junior Achievement is also bringing science and maths skills to thousands of young students nationwide through our programmes and events. Ann-Marie Cole gave up 1/2 a day of her time to help with an interview workshop, and this is what they had to say: I wanted to send you an email to let you know that
Ann-Marie Cole completed an interview workshop with 5th year
students from CBS Synge Street Secondary School on Tuesday 11th May. The event went really well. Ann-Marie opened
with a great introduction – detailing information about what to wear during an
interview, valuing yourself (USP) and body language, etc. Ann-Marie and I then separated the students and
conducted interviews with them in a group setting. The teacher was absolutely delighted with the workshop
and even asked Ann-Marie if she could come back next year with some colleagues
to enable other students to get involved. Thanks a million to Ann-Marie for all the time she put
into preparing the materials for the event and for delivering the workshop to
such a high standard. Bronagh Friel - Junior Achievement
