The reason that the Foundation and the company have had such a profound impact on communities in such a short period of time is largely due to the tireless and committed work of our volunteers, and we thank them from the bottom of our heart!!

  • Salesforce.com Ranked as one of The World's Most Ethical CompaniesTM
    (WME) methodology analyzes companies that go beyond making statements about doing business ‘ethically,' to translate those words into action. WME winners demonstrate real and sustained ethical leadership within their industries, putting the Council's credo of "Good. Smart. Business. Profit." into real business practice.
  • Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy,

    Since 2000, CECP's Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy Awards have been presented annually to companies demonstrating outstanding CEO leadership, innovation, dedication to measurement, and partnership in corporate philanthropy.

    Salesforce.com's philanthropic vision is to have all corporations be catalysts for creating healthy communities. They not only practice this within the company, but also encourage other entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized businesses to develop and deploy philanthropic programs at their own companies. Salesforce.com's mission is to use the resources of its people, technology and relationships to improve the communities in which they do business.

    Salesforce.com was honored with the Taproot Foundation 2006 Pro Bono Award. Marc Benioff accepted the award on behalf of salesforce.com and the Foundation. Salesforce.com joined Time Warner and the McGraw-Hill Companies as recipients of the award, which honors outstanding corporate pro bono programs by recognizing how leading companies invest their talent in the community. Salesforce.com was specifically recognized for its license donation program and the hours employees have volunteered to assist nonprofit organizations with the adoption and integration of the technology. This program puts salesforce.com employees in a unique position to add high value expertise to nonprofit organization, enabling it to better achieve its social mission. To date, there are approximately 950 nonprofit organizations using salesforce.com.

  • United States Department of Commerce and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Recognize Salesforce.com for Compassionate Leadership.
    The 2003 Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards showcase businesses and chambers of commerce that have demonstrated ethical leadership and corporate stewardship, made a difference in their communities and contributed to the advancement of important economic and social goals. Specifically, the Secretary of Commerce Corporate Stewardship Award seeks to recognize one small, medium and large company for its total performance and contribution to economic, community, and social progress.

2002

  • Points of Light Foundation Award for Excellence in Corporate Community Service. The Points of Light Foundation, established under the Presidency of George Bush, Sr. to recognize and foster community service by corporations and their employee volunteers, honored the Foundation, the smallest company by far among five other global corporations. The Points of Light Foundation selects a handful of corporations annually that exemplify community service.
  • Salesforce.com and salesforce.com/foundation Rank Among Top Bay Area Corporate Philanthropic Donors.
    The San Francisco Business Times honored the Foundation at the Corporate Philanthropy Summit in July 2002 for its 2001 contributions to Bay Area based non-profit organizations ranking 35th out of 40 companies. This Bay Area publication reports on Bay Area based business news including the Book of Lists honoring the Bay Area's hottest companies and their decision makers. The salesforce.com/foundation was second in Software Company giving behind Microsoft Corporation, which is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.

2001

  • Philanthropic Achievement Award, AOL/Time Warner Foundation Salesforce.com/foundation was honored by AOL Time Warner (NYSE:AOL) for its recent achievements in philanthropy and community service. Salesforce.com/foundation promotes the use of technology in youth development at its 14 San Francisco-based technology learning centers and the Youthspace Web site (www.youthspace.net). In the past 18 months, salesforce.com employees have donated over 1400 volunteer hours in community service to the centers.
