August 1, 2006: San Francisco, CA

On Tuesday August 1, five salesforce volunteers left their sales, financial, partner relationship, and marketing expertise at the office to head down to meet with some real experts: Bayview YMCA youth playground designers! With the help of Whitney from Kaboom!, she led a discussion for the kids to design their dream playground that Salesforce and our proud partner VerticalReponse is co-sponsoring for a pre-Dreamforce Community Volunteer Project.

The designs were meticulously drawn and eloquently described to the group. Dream elements of the playground consisted of swings, slides, monkey bars, ice cream stands, fish tanks and even a jacuzzi! After we had all the youth imput, the adults took their advice and selected components that will make up the playground.

Jeff Harris (Partner Alliance), Meredith Schmidt (Finance), Deanna Kung (Marketing), and Chris Peel (Global Executive Manager) listened intently to their playground mentors and promised to make the executive decisions to suit their requests.

As the planning process continues with the build just a few weeks away, we encourage you to sign up and join our employees, partners, customers, and community member who will all be a part of this Dream Building project.
