Dublin, 19 December 2006 Perilmondo, an Italian NGO which operates in Sri Lanka, came to Dublin with an update about the post-Tsunami projects which Salesforce.com employees fundraised for through the Foundation two years ago. For three hours, the canteen of the Dublin office became the setting for an informative session about Sri Lanka. Perilmondo brought pictures and videos of their last expedition to the project, and spoke in depth about the political situation of the country together with giving an update on the projects. In February 2005, Foundation EMEA organized a Fundraising event in order to support the Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka.Thanks to the employees’ donations, the contribution of the Foundation Japan and the matching funds from the company, the amount raised was in total of €13,000. Salesforce.com/Foundation’s funds have been spent on the refurbishment of the destroyed school buildings in Alamkulan village, including a refectory and a First Aid facility. Furthermore, internet connection’s been donated to the Hindu College in Valachchenai.
