May, 2007 San Francisco, CA
My name is William Jue and I was part of BizAcademy 2 in San Francisco. I learned so many things from BizAcademy that I use in my every day life now, such as how to use the Salesforce application, how to be a leader, and how to network myself. BizAcademy was one of the best things to happen to me in my life because it opened my eyes to what I want to do after I finish school.
After BizAcademy, I got the opportunity to work at Salesforce in the summer for the Marketing Department. Working in the Marketing Department showed me how much planning and work it takes to have good marketing. The tasks I did when I worked for Marketing was create customer and prospective costumer folders, prepare the supplies needed to be shipped out, and the process of how supplies and other items were shipped.
Currently I am in my first year of college at San Francisco State University and my declared major is Business Management. For the last 3 months, I have been working as an intern for Salesforce Foundation. What I do here at the Foundation is a lot of different things. It could be entering grants into the Salesforce application or setting up a big mailing to all the Foundation supporters. Getting the chance to do different things is much more fun and is why I like to work at the Foundation so much.
Working here has been a great learning experience but not just for work but for life as well. The Foundation has shown me just how great it is to help other people with all the volunteering Salesforce employees do and large amount of grants given out. The people here at the Foundation are great and they make it fun to come to work. I hope that future BizAcademy students get to have as much fun working for Salesforce as I do.
